Please join us for a special performance, The Sound of Music in Song and Stories with Ruth Harcovitz, part of our ongoing Cultural Series.

Enjoy the songs you love from Rodgers and Hammerstein's most beloved musical, The Sound of Music! Hear about the real Trapp Family, whose story is much more interesting than that of their fictional counterpart as portrayed in the play and movie! Suitable for a general audience, as many generations consider this their favorite Rodgers and Hammerstein show.

With a clear, scintillating voice, soprano Ruth Harcovitz gives joy with her beautiful voice and warm personality everywhere she goes. A New England Conservatory graduate, Ruth’s credentials include graduate study at the Vienna Academy of Music. Upon her return to the United States, she was engaged by the Santa Fe Opera, the Opera Company of Boston, and Opera New England. She has appeared as a soloist with choral societies and orchestras and is the recipient of hundreds of local cultural council grants. Ruth’s charm, magnetism, and artistry overflows as she fills the hall in song.
